Planting Churches

“QUEST weekends are designed to help mission candidates and teams think deeply and carefully about their readiness for the mission field with the help of experienced facilitators.  I have been involved as a facilitator in two QUEST weekends with Dottie (Schulz) as leader.  Those weekends have been great experiences…”

Alan Phillips grew up as a missionary's kid in Australia, son of Marvin and Dot Phillips. He graduated from Oklahoma Christian University and worked for the university for 17 years in the president's and development offices. He is the Associate Director of MRN and serves as the Senior Partner of Phillips Consulting, with offices in Dallas and Atlanta.

MRN has an experienced and knowledgable South Pacific Area Facilitator in Alan Phillips. He has assembled an South Pacific Advisory Panel composed of some of the most respected missionaries and South Pacific church leaders.

Adapted from stories by James Michener, the dazzling Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, South Pacific, brought the romance of the South Seas to public attention.

Today, the South Pacific is as attractive as ever. Comprised of Australia, New Zealand and several thousand islands of varying sizes, the South Pacific is inhabited by more than 30 million people.
Despite their need for the Lord, not since 1983 has an American team of long-term missionaries begun a work in all of the South Pacific.

It's time for these souls to hear the Good News of Jesus!
A new energy is rising as Aussie, Kiwi, and Islander Christians work with American churches in a new initiative to spread the gospel throughout the region. A few strong churches already exist among the nearly 7,000 members of the churches of Christ in the South Pacific, but in both urban and island settings most have never had the opportunity to hear about Jesus. Now the stage is set to develop mission teams to reach this unique and beautiful part of God's creation.
