"Knowing that the time was coming for a new season of leadership, I have long prayed for God's direction for the Board to locate the right person to take this ministry to the next level. Dan is that man," commented Bob Waldron.

Bouchelle to Lead MRN
by Alan Phillips

Missions Resource Network, a prominent global ministry of churches of Christ, has named Dan Bouchelle, D.Min., as its new executive director. Following a national search, he succeeds Bob Waldron, D.Min., founding director, who is stepping aside to serve in another capacity on the staff of MRN.

Bouchelle comes to Missions Resource Network from the Central Church of Christ, Amarillo, Texas where he has served for nine years as senior minister. He also serves as advisor to the board of Continent of Great Cities, a church-planting ministry to Latin America.

Prior to his role at the Central Church, Bouchelle served as pulpit minister for the Alameda Church of Christ, Norman, Oklahoma from 1994 to 2001 and ministered with the Northwest Church of Christ, Abilene, Texas from 1988 to 1994. Bouchelle earned his Doctor of Ministry, Master of Divinity, and Master of Arts degrees from Abilene Christian University. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.

"We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Dan to the leadership of Missions Resource Network," remarked Board Chairman, Barry Packer. "His passion for the Lord's church, vision for kingdom matters, and collaborative spirit give us great expectation for this young ministry's future."

"I am a bit numb and very excited to be given this opportunity," stated Bouchelle. "I am honored to join with such a top-tier staff and Board of Trustees for the advancement of a vision of partnership with congregations around the world. When it comes to global missions, MRN is the local church's best friend. We will not do alone what can better be accomplished together."

"Knowing that the time was coming for a new season of leadership, I have long prayed for God's direction for the Board to locate the right person to take this ministry to the next level. Dan is that man," commented Bob Waldron.

Bouchelle serves on the Board of Directors for Christian Relief Fund. He is author of When God Seems Absent: Studies in Ruth and Esther, published by ACU Press, and The Gospel Unleashed and The Gospel Unhindered, published by College Press. Bouchelle and his wife, Amy, have three children.

Established in 1998, Missions Resource Network is located in the Dallas - Fort Worth metroplex. MRN is a central communications and facilitation ministry to spur more effective global outreach. MRN helps local churches to vision strategically, equip for missions, plant churches worldwide, and nurture missionaries.
