Gordon and Jane Hogan

Gordon Hogan, born in St. Louis, Illinois, was baptized into Christ as a young man.  He and Jane married in 1947.  He began preaching in Florida, establishing the first congregation of the Church of Christ in New Port Richey, Florida.

He soon felt the Lord’s call to leave the United States to serve Him in another land.  In 1960, Gordon and Jane, alone with their three children, packed up, left their home and headed for India.  God apparently had other plans for them, as they were not given a visa by the government in India, so they settled in Pakistan, serving as the first missionaries to that country from the churches of Christ.

After serving in Pakistan for eight years and planting the first churches of Christ there, they moved to Singapore, where Gordon became President of Four Seas College of Bible and Missions, as well as minister of the Moulmein Road Church of Christ.  The Hogans lived and served in Singapore for more than twenty-five years.

They continue to serve and encourage by frequent visits to Singapore, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, following many  years serving as Missionary in Residence at Harding University.  He and Jane have 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  Gordon and Jane now worship with the College Church of Christ (Searcy, AR), where Gordon serves as an elder.
