Day 3

Happy Sunday!  

I don’t know where you’ll be worshipping today. Unless you are a part of a house church community, the odds are good that professional clergy have been hard at work preparing your worship experience with the family. 

As in Christianity, Buddhism has professional clergy, those who have dedicated their lives to the service of their religion. There are an estimated 300,000 Buddhist monks and novices (monks in training) serving in Thailand alone. Some commit their whole lives; others only days.  

As you participate in a worship experience crafted by your own church leaders, pray for Buddhist clergy throughout the countries surrounding the Bay of Bengal. Our Father loves all His children, including those who’ve dedicated their lives to leading Buddhists and serving in temples. Pray that Jesus would call into the family thousands of former Buddhist priests who one day may become leaders within Christian communities. It seems impossible, but our Father specializes in that!
