Day 17

Jesus was a refugee.

Have you considered that thought? His parents had to flee political, racial, and religious persecution based on their identity and the identity of their new son. They found a safe home for a time in Egypt before coming back to Nazareth. Jesus understands the refugee journey. Pretty sure He expects His followers to care about them, too, because somebody in Egypt a couple thousand years ago helped keep Him and His family alive.

As you worship with your family in Jesus today, pray the words of Psalm 91 over the people and places we’ve asked you to cover this week. Here they are again for you.
