Day 7

Here at MRN, we speak often about the Bengal Initiative. It is an effort to mobilize new partners into the region and connect with workers already serving throughout the unreached people groups surrounding the Bay of Bengal (most of the world’s Buddhists and Hindus). For a variety of reasons, many of those with whom we partner will not be workers sent from western countries into SE Asia. However, many will be.

Today we are calling you to pray for the Wayne family as representatives of the workers throughout the Bengal Initiative. They launched to the city of Da Nang in Vietnam last year. Before moving on with your day, please take a moment to work through each of their prayer requests for you.

  • For open doors for future visas in Vietnam. They are working to discover more legal ways to stay in the country long-term as Christians.

  • For language acquisition with a very difficult language.

  • For the health of their pregnancy and for God to prepare them to be parents after His own heart.

  • For a Buddhist friend who is receptive to Christ and all those reaching out to her.

  • For the Vietnamese Christians who are mentoring them as well as those they are mentoring.

  • For the Waynes to give their anxiety and worries over to God as they abide in Him.

  • For them to point people toward Jesus and his Word, rather than making themselves irreplaceable teachers

  • Pray against spiritual strongholds in Da Nang, specifically neglectful dads and husbands as well as hopelessness.

Thank you for praying, friend.

Peace.
